Rental Information

Requirements

  • Must be at least 25 Years of age to rent or drive.
  • Have a valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Proof of current, full coverage automobile insurance. 
  • Major U.S. credit card for payment.

Safety is our priority!

Per Florida law statutes, 

Children must be at least 6 years of age, and be able to sit upright with the use of the seatbelt before being permitted to ride on any "street legal" cart. Infant and child booster seats are NOT allowed on Island Cart FMB rentals.

Storage

Cart should be safely stored and secured. 

Renter is responsible for missing or damaged carts. Cart must be returned in the same condition as when the rental was initiated.


Any excessive mud, sand , or other damaging debris observed on the cart and cart undercarriage upon final inspection may result in an additional minimum fee of $150 for misuse and replacement of damaged parts.

Rules of the road

Cart is for road use only.

Island Cart FMB rentals are NOT PERMITTED on sidewalks, beaches, bike lanes, or over either bridge at each end of the island. Please do not place and/or strap down any personal items on the cart roof (i.e. surf boards and chairs). 


Rear seat of cart folds down into a utility shelf for your convenience. Any damage to the roof will result in additional charges.


Insurance Information

Providing Island Carts FMB with your insurance information DOES NOT guarantee insurance coverage.

It is the Renter's sole responsibility to ensure liability coverage and property damage with the renter's auto insurance company PRIOR to signing the rental agreement.


Please understand, it is NOT the responsibility of Island Carts FMB to ensure that the Renter's auto insurance covers the rental use of a Low Speed Vehicle (LSV).


Renter is responsible for ALL liability and damages that may result while operating an Island Carts FMB street legal golf cart, also known as a Low Speed Vehicle (LSV), as defined under the Florida Statute Chapter 320.01. The valid and collectible Liability Insurance and PIP of any authorized rental driver is primary for the limits of liability and personal injury protection coverage required by SS.324.021 and 627.736, Florida Statutes.

Corporate & Business Rentals

In addition to the driver's primary auto insurance coverage, Commercial General Liability insurance must be maintained and shall name Island Carts FMB LLC as an additional insured. A Certificate of Insurance and a copy of the additional- insured endorsement must be provided prior to the the rental date.
